Ciara is a playwright, writer and comedian.
Ciara wrote and performed sketches for BBC Radio’s New Comedy Show, which included a Joanna Lumley sketch that the broadcaster used to promote the show.
Her play Balcony View was shortlisted by ITV and ERA50:50’s Tell Her Vision project, and performed to packed rooms in local theatres.
Ciara has performed standup internationally for over 10 years, and is the resident MC for Pogue Mahon’s Craic Club. She has also taken shows to national and international festivals, including Edinburgh, Ireland, Norway and Denmark, and has performed at Denmark’s biggest comedy club, Comedy Zoo.
She was semi-finalist of the Funny Women and Amused Moose awards and touted as “One to Watch”. She was highly reviewed on EdFringe.com as having the “outgoingness of an American with the brooding truth of the Irish.”

Ciara is also a caricature and political illustrator.

Her custom illustrations were used for a political drag queen’s merch (Babs Romance MP), which sold out.

Posters

Ciara always designs and produces her own show posters, and does so for other performers. Below are her posters for two of her Edinburgh Fringe shows, and Jefferson Bond’s show ‘Lucky Potato’, which was toured in Scandinavia.
